Which recruitment process?

  • Your application

All permanent positions are advertised externally and all applications made online are reviewed by the relevant management. Applicants receive an acknowledgement of receipt when they send their application.

  • The interviews

If your application is successful, the recruitment process then generally consists of 2 interviews and a technical evaluation.

Management positions may require the conduct of an assessment (a set of tests, exercises or interviews designed to evaluate your skills for a function) or additional tests.

Unsuccessful candidates systematically receive a reply to their application.

Your remuneration is determined by the salary grid of the Canton

It is established on the basis of 2 criteria:

  • The salary category assigned to your function.
  • The number of annuities equivalent to the number of your years of experience that are relevant to the position. The years devoted to the education of children may be added to the calculation of the annuities.

The professional grade is obtained upon engagement provided that the future staff member has the required diplomas. Otherwise, the salary is reduced by one or two grades until he/she obtains the diploma or is appointment as a civil servant.
